what is the material used on this photography backdrop picture?
I am trying to make a backdrop for a photography studio and I wanted to know what was the material used as a black backdrop in this picture. Any ideas? I think it might be velvet, I am looking for a material that gives the same texture.

It looks more satin than velvet as it is getting catchlights on it.
IF you want a pure black which will not reflect light then go for velvet.
You should also get some different coloured paper backgrounds as you will be limiting yourself with black velvet.
