What flash is the best?
Ok, so I asked this question a few days ago, but I am still searching for the right flash. I am looking for a nice off camera flash for portraits. I don't want to spend hundred of dollars on one, because I haven't really worked with flash photography much. I am looking to buy two flashes and an umbrella. I use a Canon T1i and I am planning on using a PC adapter cord. I am just looking for a general and cheaper flash system that is more for beginners, since I am new to these flashes. So what flash is the best? What do you use? Where can I get a light stand and swivel bracket/umbrella adapter for the flash? What should I get? Thanks!
The absolutely cheapest way to go would be to get a pure slave unit. They go off at the same time as your pop flash. You can set your pop flash to be low power and the slaves to be high power. So only they show up in the picture.
You can get radio triggered manual flashes, we are talking $50+ each and triggers. Or an all around flash gun that can go on camera, off camera, slave and uses built in radio triggers on some cameras. but we are talking $300-$500 each. It's a little pricey but it's really the most bang for the buck.
