Is there a solution out there that can make a contact lens feel the way?
it feels when you first open a new pack? I've noticed that the VERY first time you wear a pair of soft contact lens, the lens itself feels very soft on your fingertips. After a while of cleaning and storing, it no longer retains this softness.
I was wondering if the liquid solution that the new contact lens sits in might be the secret to the softness? And if so, is there anyway we can purchase this? It would really be nice to be able to have the contact lens feel like the way it feels when you first open it, but for each and every time there after.
Any ideas, thoughts, comments?
I think the best thing is to just make sure you clean them after you take them out (before you put them in the case for the night) and clean again before you put them back in. I use Renu and it's ok. I once got a free sample of some little bottle of something. It was from Bauch & Lomb but I don't remember what it was called. It's like the size of a bottle of eye drops and you put one drop in the storage case at night with the regular solution. It really gets a lot of the protein off, but make sure you really clean them good before you put back in because the stuff made my eyes burn a little.
And most important - make sure you change your lens as prescribed. If you are supposed to change in a week, then do it. Don't wear them for a month. Also, even though you can wear some contacts at night, you really shouldn't.
