what are the best kinds of lights for an at home photography studio?
I have a small little thing set up @ my house, the lights that the studio kit came with are not that good what can I buy for better lighting ?
ALSO- How do you get wrinkles out of the muslins? they show up in my photos. please help me~!
Alien Bees to make for an adequate small home set up. They aren't bullet proof like higher end lights, but they certainly will do the job. I do own a couple and do use them in location situations even though they were never my primary studio lights.
As for your muslin backdrops, you can spray them with Wrinkle Free or a mixture of about 10% fabric softener and 90% water. Stretching them with clips to the sides of a backdrop stand can also help.
You can also minimize the appearance of wrinkles by controlling the distances between subject, backdrop and camera; using a shallow depth of field and controlling your lighting to minimize the shadows created by the wrinkles.
