A look at what is currently available on eBay
Where do I start, I want to make miniatures of famous landmarks/buildings, roman pillars, my daughters?
Not sure where I start I know what I want (that being replicas of famous landmark buildings etc). Not sure If I can buy molds or if I can buy 3d models of these and use 3d printer to print them etc. I want various sizes of the same thing eg small enough i could put in fish tank then large enough to use as prop for theatre plays
That's a pretty big question because there are loads of ways to do each of those things:
-- size... miniature things (for dioramas or just display, etc), or large things (for plays as backdrops, or were you thinking of smaller items for plays--still "miniature" but not as large as backdrops?)
-- structures, or figures
-- molds, or free sculpting/shaping
-- material(s)... paper/cardstock/paperboards, clays of various types, balsa or other woods, mixed media, etc
-- (if *inside* aquariums) waterproofness or not... also complete non-toxicity or not
Basically you could make most any of the items above with any of the materials or techniques above, but you need to narrow it down a bit to get suggestions that most fit with what you have in mind.
P.S. If you're interested though in making any of the miniature to medium-sized things with "polymer clay," using molds or free-shaping, etc., there are loads of pages at my polymer clay encyclopedia site that you'd be interested in for lessons, examples, tips on materials, etc.

In general you don't want to take a chance by putting polymer clay (or many other materials either, except maybe glass or ceramic figures/items) inside aquariums, though many fish would be okay. If you want to check out some things about that though, go to the page called:
